Hi I’m Eric. And that’s my wife Maegan with our two monsters kids. DirtyBird Soil was founded on a simple idea: make ridiculously good soil that doesn’t break the bank.

In 2021, we packed up our two kids, left New York behind, and headed south to sunny Florida. What we didn’t expect was how much we’d fall in love with year-round plant parenting. Suddenly, our houseplants were getting fresh air, more sunshine, and living their best lives—and we wanted the soil to match.

We’re not some giant soil conglomerate with mystery ingredients and corporate boardrooms. We’re just two people, a couple of very judgmental ferns, and a deep love for dirt. Every bag of DirtyBird Soil is mixed with care, tested on our own wild little jungle, and delivered with the kind of attention you only get from people who still name their pothos.
